Further afield, a popular getaway destination is Hong Kong's Kowloon, home to the well known Nathan Road, or ‘Golden Mile’ due to the dazzling array of brightly lit, neon-decorated shops, hotels and restaurants. Kowloon Park nestled among the skyscrapers where you will find flamingos and other assorted flor and fauna plus local and international exhibits and the famous Star Ferry port, which will transfer you across to Hong Kong Island with stunning views of the coastline.

When it comes to a shopping break , Singapore is a great place to find a fabulous bargain. With big departmental stores and designer boutiques in an endless array of shopping malls, you will find everything from the latest fashion to traditional ethnic goods.
